Mrs. P is back!!!
Today we worked on creative writing - we wrote about what we would build if we were going to build a school of our own. Before writing, we read the story "If I Built a School" and did amazing drawings of what our schools would have in them. We had some wonderful ideas, like cafeterias, candy hallways, and chocolate fountains.
In Math, we worked on telling time on an analog clock. We did time on the hour, and on the half hour today. We also did some basic facts review work.
In Science, Grade 3s classified natural and man-made structures. Grade 4s worked on their dictionary skills to find out the definitions of ket terms related to simple machines.
In Social Studies, the Grade 3 students worked independently to research traditional, indigenous and modern clothis styles in Peru. The Grade 4s also examined clothing through the fur trade in Canada and Alberta.
