May the 4th be with you! In LA we continued working on our comic strips of our stories. Through this task we have been learning about parts of speech, identifying key events in a story, representing a story in pictures, and working with dialogue. In math today we learned about area and perimeter. We learned that area is the amount of space a shape takes up, and that perimeter is the distance around the outside of the shape. In Science, Grade 3s continued building their pillars to test which will support more weight, 1 big pillar or 4 small pillars. Grade 4s worked on building a vehicle that uses a wheel and axle to move a load using less force than pulling it would.
