 Happy Groundhog Day!

Today we worked on improving our writing by using better words after a lesson about synonyms.

We got to solve a mystery in math today.  Students worked in small groups to decode clues based on math concepts such as adding, multiplication, rounding, fractions, and division.  We solved the mystery!

Our Social Studies groups presented their research today!  We put our whole map together and hung it on our wall.

In Science, we heard the indigenous story "The Fisher's Story" and thought about our responsibility to the earth.

Important Notice:

WE WILL BE OUTSIDE TOMORROW!  We have been inside due to temperatures below -20 for the last 2 days.  We expect that tomorrow will be closer to -15, which means that we will be going outside for recess (providing the wind chill does not feel below -20).  Please make sure that your child has appropriate clothing for the weather. At -19 we will go outside.

As per Mr. Hebert's principal's message, students are asked NOT to bring Valentine's cards or gifts to school on February 14.

No school February 17-21.  Classes will resume on February 22.
