Upcoming Dates:
The last day of school for students is this Friday June 25. This will also be Beach/Hawaiian Shirt Day.
Our teachers will be hosting a walk/drive by farewell for students from 12-12:30 on Friday along the North sidewalk. Families are welcome to come by to wave goodbye before heading off for your summer holiday. We ask that families remain on the sidewalk side of the fence.
Report cards will be available online on MyCBE on June 28, 2021. We will not be printing paper copies.
Clearly is offering Free Glasses for Kids age 10 and under. Parents or guardians just need to book a store visit, bring their child’s health card and recent prescription (written within the last year), and choose a pair of kids’ glasses. To learn more, visit clearly.ca/kids
This week Grade 4s have been learning about plant life cycles and the needs of plants in Science. Grade 3s have continued learning about sound, and how our ears work. Today, we watched a video about the life cycle of plants - hosted by one of our favorites - Bill Nye!
In math, we have been doing review work across all concepts we have learned this year. Today was a review about basic facts in subtraction, multiplication or division - depending on which one students wanted to work on.
In LA today, students worked on writing a letter to next year's students. They thought about the things that they did this year, and told the next group what to look forward to.
In Social Studies, students have been learning about the contributions the Red Cross have made within the province of Alberta.
